Dedicated fans came out on a Sunday night to catch FSEcho FoundrySHED, and Ancient Elm at the Melody Inn in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Ancient Elm, hailing all the way from the Hawkeye State of Iowa, was a surprise last minute addition to the bill as a result of a scheduling issue at another venue.  All three bands were glad to have them on the bill and they put on a hell of a set.

Echo Foundry kicked the evening off with an energetic set that knocked everyone back on their heels.  Rock solid and steady the boys in Echo Foundry made no bones about delivering in your face rock and roll. We are looking forward to catching up with them again real soon.

FS brought a whole new brand of rock to the Melody Inn on Sunday tearing it up with a set of originals.  For a three piece they put out some serious energy.

Shed rolled through a set with only one minor hitch when drummer, Kelley Bridgewater, managed to break his high-hat stand just a few songs into the set.  Taking it all in stride the band made small talk with the audience while Kelley figured out a way to make the high-hat stand functional again.  A few minutes later the band continued with their set.

The highlight of the evening was a killer performance by Ancient Elm.  This three piece from Sac City, Iowa, sounded enormous.  Unbelievably tight, huge sound, and excellent timing/rhythm changes kept the whole set interesting.  If you get a chance to check them out make sure to bring your friends too - these guys don't disappoint.

You know when the bass player's pedal board is cooler than the guitarist's pedal board we have to know all about it.
